DAVID GLENN ARMSTRONG has staged over 160 productions/workshops seen in 49 states including work at the New York Shakespeare Festival, Goodspeed Opera, Walnut Street, Manhattan Theatre Club, Classic Stage Company, Library of Congress, Pasadena Playhouse, Inge Festival, Chicago Humanities Festival, Blank Theatre, Amas, HERE, York, Pacific Rep Opera, Arkansas Rep, NYMF, Anchorage Opera, and Iowa Shakespeare Festival. David is privileged to have directed new works by authors as diverse as Pulitzer Prize winners Sheldon Harnick and Jonathan Larson; to have shared opening nights with Theatre Hall of Famers Jerry Bock, Joe Stein, and Tom Jones; and to have been enthralled in rehearsal by Oscar winners/nominees Geraldine Page, Kim Hunter, Olympia Dukakis, and Amy Adams. David is proud to have worked with Tony winners/nominees Karen Akers, Annaleigh Ashford, Kate Baldwin, Hunter Bell, Ben Davis, Max von Essen, Christopher Fitzgerald, Beth Fowler, David Garrison, Montego Glover, Sam Harris, Cady Huffman, Robin de Jesús, Judy Kaye, Charles Kimbrough, Megan Lawrence, Norm Lewis, Rebecca Luker, Forrest McClendon, David Miller, Brad Oscar, Faith Prince, Charlotte Rae, Carole Shelley, Maria Tucci, Louis Zorich, and hundreds of other amazing actors, writers, composers, designers, stage managers, technicians, and producers that have inspired him to make magic in the dark.

Outside the theatre, David has directed and/or produced multi-million dollar corporate industrials on five continents working with such superstars as Jon Bon Jovi, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, Elle Macpherson, Scissor Sisters, Gloria Gaynor, and Martha Stewart for Coca-Cola, Qatar Department of the Interior, Lowe's, New York Times, Corcoran Group, Art Basel/Design Miami, Macklowe Properties, Audi, Hasbro, Citibank, Rite Aid, W Hotels, Trane, Chrome Hearts, Miami Design District, Fontainebleau Hotel, Surf Club, Bass Museum, Pritzker Prize, FINCA, Fondation Beyeler, Reboot with Joe, Ainsworth Associates, and Violy, Byorum & Partners, where he served as Creative Director for seven years.

David is currently the Managing Director for Ainsworth Associates, a strategic advisory firm based in New York City, and is the creative director and producer for their clients' corporate entertainment and marketing events.

David was born in a tiny Iowa farm town; raised in Michigan and Virginia; graduated from Adelphi University on Long Island; and now, whenever not in the throes of rehearsal, hangs out in Central Park with Rufus, the most amazing Brussels Griffon ever.
